Immigration Check In: Returning Students

Welcome Back to UW - Whitewater!

Keeping your information up to date is crucial for maintaining your legal presence in US. If you are a continuing student and if you have traveled outside US, follow the instructions below on updating your information.

Submission of these documents is required for UW - Whitewater to register/validate you in SEVIS - the federal reporting system for international students and scholars.  Failure to submit the documents before September 4 (fall intake) or January 29 (spring intake) may result in losing your visa status, unlawful presence, and require you to depart the United States.

After you submit the documents, we will review to determine to determine if there are problems.  We will email if there are problems.
If you have dependents, you must upload the following documents for each dependent. If you do not have dependents, you do not need to upload attached documents.
  • Dependent Picture Page of Passport
  • Dependent Entry Stamp in Passport
  • Dependent Visa
  • Dependent I-94
  • Dependent I-20/DS-2019
  • Dependent Other Documents (ie I-515A)
If you are unable to obtain your I-94 or run into any difficulties collecting the required documentation, contact the International Office. UW - Whitewater International Student and Scholars will review your submitted materials to determine if there are any problems and will advise you on how to resolve the problems.
